Honestly, I'm going to throw a curveball here and say Silver Spoon.
Seeing how she was the first one to clap after Granny Smith's story in the new episode, I think there's much more depth to her. That, and I would love to see her stab Diamond Tiara in the back (metaphorically). |

If Silver Spoon is allowed, she gets my vote, because I think that redemption would make for the best episode. Otherwise, I vote for Gilda; the fact that she was Rainbow Dash's friend in years past indicates to me that she's got something good inside her, whereas I don't see any evidence that Trixie's any more than a blowhard and a bully (but I still like her). As for Discord, he's the lord of Chaos and is even more of a bully than Trixie, plus I'm not sure how much fun he'd be once redeemed. |

Trixie's behavior was pretty enigmatic at the end of that episode. She almost did an about face. I'd like to see some closure there. Discord is fine as is (and his VA is enormously expensive) and Gilda? Eh, Gilda. |

As much as I would love to see Discord again, I don't see much of a "redemption" episode for him given he's the spirit of chaos and would most likely pick up where he left off.
I have to say I see more potential for Trixie returning than any other character. |

Trixie. Discord wrapped up nicely, and I could die happy if I never saw Gilda again. Besides, Trixie's ending is really the only one left open for a return. Discord is in stone, and Gilda is racist toward ponies, and is unlikely to return to Ponyville for any reason. Before that last point is refuted, allow me to quote her: "All these lame ponies are cramping my style." |

Picking only one of the three, I'd say Gilda. She actually has canon history with one of the mane six, and considering that the entire show is about FRIENDSHIP, I'd like to see this one restored.
If Trixie had some history, I'd probably say the same for her, but Discord has nothing going for him. |

Of those three, I'd vote Gilda on the basis that she's the only character who'd really have a reason to come back and not be purely antagonistic (Trixie has no reason come back, Discord is too antagonistic).
Potential dialogue: Rainbow: Gilda, You made Fluttershy cry. I know ponies who'd have you tarred and feathered with your own feathers for that. Buuut... I sometimes wonder what they'd do to me if they ever found out I've nearly gotten her killed... twice. |

Discord displayed this by doing his best to break apart the friendship of the mane six, causing them to turn on each other. And while chaos isn't always evil in fiction, heck Pinkie Pie is a pretty good indicator of that in MLP, it is most certainly a part of Discord's chaos. |
