I just noticed I suffered from a severe case of random capitalization.

maybe she moved in the half second?.....maybe the 2 scenes were shot at different times so they forgot things like in a real movie....

Take a look at the positioning, both of these shots are from different points in the room, I don't think I need to point that out when some people might have noticed in the firt one Scoot is behind Sweetie, while in the perspective of the second one, Scoot is to her right

Also, in the top frame, there is a window in the background, in the second, there is a door (also a window, but too far to the left)

It still clearly isn't over her head in one shot and in the next shot it is.

It's called perspective.

^Perspective doesn't work that way. As an art major who has had several classes focusing on perspective I can assure you that the lantern is not above Scootaloo in the first picture.

^^The highest observed distance between two objects from every angle is always the actual distance. While objects can always appear to be closer together depending on the angle, without getting closer to them they can't ever appear to be further apart.

It's because ponies are two dimensional. Something that was once to her side becomes above her after the change in camera angle.

Another example is how Twilight's bangs don't have to warp around her horn. There isn't really any depth in Equestria. Of course, most of the ponies don't notice this. Pinkie Pie does, obviously, but the rest are unaware.
