I LOVED that game when I was younger. |

I'm getting a whole Donner Party vibe here. |

Is it weird that I've never played that game but I still get this reference? |
| Harlequin_Jester #842220 6 months ago |
It's a pretty popular joke/reference so, no it's not weird. |

well, I'm not from the US if that has anything to do with its recognition. so would somepony care to explain? |

@297: There's a computer game called Oregon Trail, in which you attempt to guide a family of settlers from the East to the Oregon Territory. One of the random obstacles is your party coming down with diseases, including (most notoriously) dysentery. |

Starting as a farmer in that game was death. |

Somebody go ponify the original oregon trail now.
Also, has anyone under 20-something ever even played it? |
| Anonymous #843301 6 months ago |
I remember we had this game on our class computer in 5th grade, everytime someone died and it asked us what we wanted on the tomb stone we'd always put pizza toppings because of the commercials. |
| Anonymous #844160 6 months ago |
Bullshit, at least one of them would get cholera. |
| TheLoneLampman #844327 6 months ago |
I wonder how many were lost at river crossings? |

The one with the scarf looks like the pony, Tex. |

@Hellfire, OP here. I'm under 20. I've played Oregon Trail. ^^ |
| Anonymous #847121 6 months ago |
I'm 19 and was playing Oregon Trail just last year.
Played the whole series (up til' 4) while growing up. |
| romantiCaveman #848410 6 months ago |
I laughed way too hard at this. |

@Jester I would totally read a Donner Party pony fanfic. Oh yes, it would be gruesome... and historically accurate! :D |
