The database server clock is more than 2 minutes slower than the web server clock, and the difference between the post timestamp and the current web server time is the time displayed. Question answered. Move on! |

"INSERT INTO comments(image_id, owner_id, owner_ip, posted, comment) ". "VALUES(?, ?, ?, now(), ?)", array($image_id, $user->id, $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'], $comment)); The now() function executes on the database server, whose clock is ~150 seconds ahead of the web server. When the page refreshes, the web server grabs the newly posted comment, and subtracts its post time from its own clock. *That's* why you get negative seconds. |
