Many people have made this mistake too... In G1.
How can you make this mistake in G4? Her voice is too feminine and she just screams "Mare". |

Well, filly. Mare's in the show are about Mrs Cake, Mayor and above ages.
Filly goes from young child all the way to young adult. |

I prefer to go by the actual terms. "Filly" refers to young female horses. Applejack's an adult - even if she's childish. |

how about the fact they keep saying "Fillies and gentlecolts"?
I think in the show the word filly is lady, so for a young pony it's quite a compliment to be called emotionally mature enough to be called the stage above foal. This problems will occur when we extend a pony's life so foalhood lasts more than a year. |
