I think it doesn't have the same 'magic' either. However, season 2 (so far) has been much more fun. |

Yeah, I'm real shocked that the second season of a flash-in-the-pan internet phenomenon clung to by a fanbase full of unrealistic expectations somehow fails to live up to their often ludicrous standards. There's a saying about catching lightning in a bottle that's applicable here. Really, the only "winning" move for the creative team would have been to end the show after season one because everything they do from this point forward is going to be endlessly dissected and compared unfavorably to everyone's rose-tinted memories of OMG My Little Pony is SO AWESUM 20% COOLER lol.
It's a kid's show about talking ponies. Lighten up, Francis. |

Everything is less magical after some time of doing/watching/doing something with it. For example, WoW - lvling your 1st character is (well, this graphic isn't getting better by every year, so it may not be something like start, and if you start playing WoW now, you lose shitload of content, cuz no one does vanilla, TbC or Lich King raids, anyway) like magical, you discover some epic places, very good soundtrack helps, some people (like me) even read full quest description to introduce them with motives of actions of their characters...
It isn't the same thereafter. |
