They want to turn that den of depravity to a community center.
It always starts off with "a church buying the property." They'll fight hard to get the owners to sell the land to them if there is an open bid. The mention of the church usually puts the whole community behind the sale. They'll buy it, and the business closes down. The city then invokes its eminent domain clause to seize and buy the land from the church. A community center would be put in its place, housing city-run bingo games to pay off the purchase price. |
