I think it's safe to say Pinkie may not be all too excited by such a development, as the establishment she works for no doubt earns a considerable portion of its profits from the sale of cupcakes. If they suddenly started growing on trees, thus becoming free, there's a significant possibility the Cakes would have to make cutbacks to offset the lost profits, and she very well might be out of a job. |

Such businesses are often able to retain their success in the face of dramatic changes in the market by diversifying the products and services offered. We can reasonably conclude that anypony that's been resourceful enough to establish what appears to be a thriving business in the heart of Ponyville certainly must also be resourceful enough to adapt to the ebb and flow of supply and demand. If the demand for cupcakes suddenly hits rock bottom as it would in such a scenario, I don't think Pinkie's job would be in any danger. Have a little faith in the proprietors! |

I don't think Pinkie works for the bakery with profits in mind. Heck, she steals the products herself when nopony's looking. She likes the work, not the pay. |
