So does Trixie, if you analyze the episode close enough. She stood up to the Ursa (even though she knew she couldn't win) when she could have just told everyone in Ponyville to fuck off and deal with it themselves.
And when she's acting like a dick on stage, it's not uncommon for stage performers to embarrass hecklers, which is pretty much what she did. It's mean, but if you're gonna heckle someone you should be ready for it. |

She acted like a dick onstage... AND offstage. What was building herself up to Snips and Snails if not a blatant ego-massage when no mass audience was around?
And what does she do when she fails to beat the Ursa? Not act contrite. She throws a bitchfit and runs away. There's nothing redeeming about her. THIS is why she deserves to get her house smashed. |

Actually, she does act contrite when she admits to everyone that she never beat an Ursa and that she just made it up for her show. But you know, she's a magician. Do real life magicians explain how all their tricks are done? Nope, they embellish everything and make stuff up to make their shows more interesting. So when a stage magician says she beat an Ursa, nobody in their right mind would take her seriously. Also, about her acting like a dick onstage, you'll notice if you go over the episode again that after she does a dickmove on Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Rarity, the camera cuts to show a big crowd of Ponyvillians (Ponyvillians? Ponyvillers? whatever) cheering. So I guess everyone else in Ponyville must be just as mean spirited. |

Yes, I know, "love and tolerate", but given that the Trixie fandom contains a large amount of anti-Twilight Sparkle bashing (and guess who my favorite pony is...), I have trouble manifesting it. |

@828 So... you hate a character because you think her fandom hates another character? I'm pretty sure most Trixie fans like Twixie shipping anyway, so they hardly hate Twilight - quite the opposite.
As for the "all an act" thing, I think most people probably don't buy that but the episode gives just enough evidence to support that theory, and half of the MLP fandom as a whole is speculation, so live and let live. |
