I thought that was Scootaloo. There is way more Scootabuse than Rainbow abuse, not sure on the amount of deaths of each though. I've only seen Rainbow Dash die in cupcakes references. |

Like Posey said, RD is a speedster and somewhat of a rebel, and among the Mane Six she is the only one with a concrete life goal in joining the Wonderbolts. She's one of the greatest flyers in Equestria, if not THE greatest, because she is willing to push the envelope and be a little reckless.
In literature, it is a common trope or theme for young, gifted adventurers, racers and rebels to die in the pursuit of their goals. The idea of a talented young person dying in trying to achieve their dreams makes the death feel even more tragic and senseless, affecting the reader more. "The star that burns twice as bright burns half as long." |
