@Posey:
Where do you keep finding all of this stuff from generations past? |
| Posey #827350 6 months ago |
My Little Pony websites. There's a fanbase outside of the bronies, after all. |

I knew about the older fans of the show, but I didn't realise it was this extensive. I mean, I've seen how far the Transformers fans would go based just on how hard they tried to get more snaps of that prototype Unicron toy.
Even so, I had no idea that G1 had such nice memorabilia. |

Never doubt Pony fans. Even before G4 there was an extensive and long-running fanbase. |

I miss the days of toy companies branching off from their sources and making tons of alternative merchandise. I mean, it still happens but nothing as nice as this. Usually just pencils or bed sheets. |

@gashunk:
Actually, we haven't even had a proper playset for the current generation. No real castle for Celestia or Luna, just some cardboard inlay. And the other ones are just a single side of plastic moulding with stickers on. Nothing as fancy as this. I mean, where are the books? Where are the high quality figurines? In the UK, they actually made a song about how amazing Applejack was. |

UK had an entire album about characters.
MLP has gotten lazy ever since G1.5. Real lazy.. |
| DeeperMadness #827472 6 months ago |
G1.5? Is that Pony Tales? That's not related to the longer-legged ponies, right? |
| Posey #827479 6 months ago |
MLP Tales is technically G1, but like G3.5 it's different from the rest of G1. It even had a little toy line. |

@DeeperMadness
I don't know if it would affect girl's toys at all but most of hasbro's non-movie tie-in action figure lines have been pretty crippled. You're lucky if you see more than one peg of G.I. joes. If that's any factor in it, then the my little pony toys are doing pretty well comparatively. |
| DeeperMadness #827487 6 months ago |
Really? So what's G1.5 then? |

G1.5 was pretty much our world, but with ponies instead of people. It was pretty much a cheap sitcom. |
