So the story looks like: Griffons and ponies go into war. Celestia uses the Elements of Harmony as an offensive weapon. The Elements do not like being used as a war weapon and banish their own carriers.
Is this right? |

That's how I see it able I would go more like this: The Griffons have a new leader and request Celestia to meet him/her in a show of arms (Griffons being a warroir race) Celestia knowing thats just a standern meet and greet for them (and that Griffon have too much pride and honor to use it as a trap) agrees. Since Equestria doesn't have much of an army she drafts the EoH and some locals form Ponyvillie to fill the ranks thus, thus why Ditzy is here. Here they learn the new leader is a Hippogriff, which now is like the Alicorn of Griffons and orders an attack, as the non train ponies would be easly kill Celestia is forced to used the EoH as a weapon and the rest is what you said. Also maybe have some focus on the griffon side (as I really don't like it wend they're just a "evil race") about there confliction between there oaths to their leader who just forced them into a war and their honor something like that |
