@PVRyohei Yeah, if it wasn't done to death, creepy, disgusting, against the morals of pretty much every culture on Earth, and genetically deleterious.

Well, I never cared too much for morals, so from your list the only things that could matter to me would be the first and maybe the last.

The best thing about Apple family incest is seeing the same users screaming about it in the comments every single time.

@PVRyohei Not caring for morals isn't something you should announce so flippantly. It can be a sign of very serious mental issues, such as sociopathy and psychopathy which, I hope I don't need to to point out, are bad things to have and not well received by society.

@PluckyNinja How would that explain ANYthing? Cutie marks denote skills and talents, not who the parents are.

^There's "Real Life™", and then there's the Interbutts where Ponies can be the true cruel and uncaring heartless creatures they undoubtedly are.

@973: As Bill Cosby would say: The brain damage

According to folklore, children of incestuous relationships are deformed and / or brain damaged. It's been heavily exaggerated, although it's still a lot more likely that a child will have birth defects (including brain damage) and hereditary diseases if they are the product of incest.

And by "a lot" you mean a slim fraction of a percent in the first generation. The chances increase in subsequent generations of inbreeding, but in the short-term, that argument is bullshit. Incest taboos exist for generally outdated reasons.
