not to STIFLE THE FUNNIES you guys but I think I asked this before but I never saw a response
why are some OC's like "hey guys my pony OC can summon dremora from the nether and also use redstone fire arrows to kill seymour flux in 3 seconds" totally unacceptable but meanwhile "hey guys my pony OC is an amorphous blob of gel that can transform clothing onto itself and melts when it touches water and sometimes has giant wings and sometimes doesn't and has like 5 "fur" colors and hangs out with surprise and sometimes goo-rapes pinkie pie by falling on top of her and squishing all over her like syrup" is acceptable?? legit curiosity here |

Well, the first is self-insert-wish-fufillment Mary Sue faggotry. The second is just completely lolwut shenanigans. Or at least, even if Slugbox is doing some self-insert shit with it, he's not being glaringly "I WISH TO BE THE LITTLE GIRL" that I know of. |

...I think comments with broken grammar get subconsiously filtered out once youve spent enough time around them.

Its a mannequin to be put into a pose in a scene. A speaker for the artist to talk through. The only things she talks about in the blog is herself. I mean Slugbox is a great artist and all and im light years behind him in technique, and i still enjoy the art, including Cteno's pictures, but Cteno, as a character, is pretentious. |

...on the other hand, the washing machine in my bathroom may as well had been constructed by the last timelords on Gallifrey and then helped stop the reign of terror of the evil emperor Glukzdrom, but i couldnt care less as long as it cleans clothes.
Maybe Cteno isnt even supposed to be taken as a real character, but as a prop for comics and situations to play around. If so, she serves her purpose and i wouldnt have any objections. And that point of view wouldnt justify actual bad OCs because those are generally made for self-insertion and Marysueism, which is totally a word that exists. huh. |
