Sweetie Belle seems pretty plausible, Spike hangs around hoping to catch Rarity's eye, inadvertently he attracts the affections of her sister and in the end realizes she is one for him. |

I ship both Spikity and Spikebloom, but despite the former being more canon, I prefer the later by far!
In fact, Spikebloom is one of my favorite ships, and this is coming from a guy who's a hardcore same sex shipper when dealing with MLP. |

I don't think the show will feature any such romance, however I am kind of surprised there hasn't been anything in the way of Spike and Sweetie interaction, given how often he must loiter around Carousel Boutique. |

How did the Spike/AB thing start anyway? Spike's crush on Rarity was there since first episode of season 1 and they've had screen time together without Twilight. I've never even seen Spike and AB talk to each other before. |

Haha poor Applebloom. It never particularly appealed to me I must confess ... I saw a human cartoon (it was clean, get your mind out of the gutter) that was kinda cute from Megasweet, but that's about it. |
