So..
AJ has little to no atmosphere and covered in craters from millenia of meteor strikes. Fluttershy has the hottest temperatures, hot enough to liquefy lead. Twilight is the only one with life, with one of the largest moon to planet ratios in terms of moon size. Pinkie is called the red planet despite the colour being a myth and most pictures of her now giving her a false red colour. RD is the largest and one of Twilights second bigest protectors from meteors. Making Rarity a ringed planet with moons that herd her rings keeping them in check. |

Mars is more orange than red, its mostly covered in iron oxide (rust) and all dusty and rocks, but if you zoom out its more orange red but far way it apears red...so mars is "red"

I was worried you were hinting at the conspiracy thing that arose when we got back images from the Mars Exploration Rovers which showed unusual colors - they sent back images in up to 13 different filters, and some of the composite images made were either uncalibrated, or else were false-color, which showed some odd colors, including a blue sky in some. But yes, no doubt, it's not really very "red," though it is redder than most of the planets in the Solar System. Jupiter might be the closest competitor, and most of it is a bunch of other colors anyway. |
