New to MLP fandom. Are there any other sites similar to this one that might have more...complete collections of images?
This is more due to my ocd wanting to collect every goddamn piece of pony fanart available than my liking for lolicon (though I'm not denying liking lolicon). It just bothers me that things get deleted at all here, regardless of content. |

I'm not hosting explicit sexualized images of underage humans.
This isn't because of my personal morals or whatever. It's because it's literally illegal to even possess such images (let alone distribute them) in California, which is where I live and where the site servers are located. My intent has always been for Ponibooru to be, as much as possible, a one-stop shop for any pony image you may be trying to find. But I'm not willing to risk going to jail and being branded a sex offender for life, just to bring you the last 1%. If you really want this stuff, it's probably on paheal. |

^Unless California instituted unconstitutional anti-lolicon laws recently (yes, there was a supreme court decision about this, laws against lolicon hav to only cover things considered "obscene" by the supreme court's definition of "obscene"), you really need to do more digging on the subject or ask a lawyer.
Whether a particular lolicon image is illegal or not is unknown until it is actually brought to court. As for "explicit sexualized images of underage humans", I certainly hope you aren't saying you think child porn laws make lolicon illegal. Congress made two separate laws (one after the first was shot down by supreme court decision) just for lolicon since it is not covered by child porn laws. Even if you won't listen to me, please consult a lawyer or two. I doubt even most lawyers are this paranoid that they're gonna be a sex offender just for hosting an image they couldn't hav even known was illegal until it was put to a court. |

Addendum: once again I must say the chances that it will be put to court, or that the court will hold you responsible, or that the court will even consider it obscene are all really unlikely.
They will recognize that you are not a child molester nor a pedophile who collects or creates child porn nor enabling anyone to do the above. They're almost certainly not gonna punish you for hosting images where no child was molested. |

The issue is more a combination of lolicon-related laws and jury nullification. The relevant section has this to say:
Wikipedia said: So there's some outs here. If it's not "obscene" (a term defined nebulously, by community standards and "I Know It When I See It") and it has serious artistic value, or if it's sexualized images that don't actually depict sexual conduct, then the laws don't apply. But even if I was willing to try to guess what counts as obscene and what counts as "artistically valuable", here's what gives me pause: this law has gone to court a half-dozen times, and in every case where the people involved might have been exonerated by the letter of the law, they went for a plea bargain on the recommendation of their lawyers, who didn't believe that the jury would actually exonerate them. And as for someone like me never going to court, one of the most well-known tests of the law in question was a comic book collector, Christopher Handley, who happened to have some comic books in his collection with content that fell afoul of the restrictions. But let's say they were all special cases. They all had a bad jury, or were in the wrong county, or whatever. The third thing is that even if I'd win if I went to court, that means going to court. It means potentially having to fight for my life (or close enough to it, anyway) over Scootaloo nudes. I'm a coward. I don't want to be the test dummy, even if I'm the test dummy that changes the winds on this law. |

Original isn't on paheal, actually, only the various nude edits. =P |

Thanks for the responses Eco.
I'll upload the original to Paheal when I can get the site to work. |

Id enjoy people not vandalizing a perfectly good picture. I went on a quick stroll through Google Images and Im pretty sure, to most peoples delight, this pic is not currently on the web anymore. Well, the uncolored sketch is, but not this pic. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it was my understanding that the police don't really care if you look at loli as long you don't have a record for real CP.
If you have a record for real CP you're violating the terms of your release and they will use this misdemeanor to put you back in jail. Though I think actually ordering it in the mail is a different matter entirely. Obscene mail laws are taken very seriously. |

There are news articles on guys who got arrested for looking at loli online, but articles like that often leave out the part about the guy's past offense(s) to make the case look more ridiculous.
Though that one guy in Australia may have not had any past offenses. But, let's face it, Oz is a police state. You only have to look at their censorship of Adventure Time to see that. |

About that guy getting arrested for having lolicon, he got arrested for having actual child porn. The lolicon was just icing on the cake. |
