@#820524: Actually, yes. Such a slavish devotion to ethnic stereotypes is incredibly disappointing. I'd be willing to bet that if you saw a nerdy black person, your mind would refuse to accept it and just filter them out.
The only racial stereotype I subscribe to is one concerning all humans: that humans are prone to stupidity. Personally, black Twi has never bothered me. But as people point out, MS's depiction of Twi has Asian features. She could easily be interpreted to be Indian in this, which works for me as well. Indian girls can be very cute. And hey, they even have a nerdy stereotype for you knuckle-draggers! |

I like the dark skin on Twilight that Ashes uses. I don't really get "black" not that that would bother me anyway, but I do get "Indian" and no, not "Native American" Indian. I mean she seemed like she was from India and yeah that has a lot to do with the way MS draws her facial features, well, that and combined with the hair style from the show. It makes sense to me. Also I like the dark skin. It's rather sexy. Either way I just don't see the point of trolling pics where Ashes colors her dark. They usually post you your "white bread" version for you too. I don't typically see people going on to THOSE pics and saying "But why is Twilight a Cracka?!?!" |
