Not really.
1: She's not official god of the show anymore. 2: No one ever has to listen to word of god anyway. Plenty of people will agree that it only really counts if it's in the source material. |

It really didn't.
Her answering questions "kills most fanfics" in the same way that finding faster than light particles means "hurr durr, Einstein was wrong all along, what an idiot". She had little impact on the fanon base and dismissed next to no thoughts. The answer to almost all of her questions was "I don't know, we never wrote it, or thought about it". |

^^^What this guy says. Fanfic was never meant to be taken as canon, and whether something comes up later that contradicts the story's setting or not has no effect on the actual quality of the fic. |

I'm not sure how this is even true. Even the stuff where she answered questions that would directly fuck up fics (Octavia and AJ's family), she also went out of her way and said that her answers weren't actually canonical. |

Like it has been said, fan-fics are alternate universes. They arent the original one from the show. Now how far the fan-fic deviates from the original (canon) is up to its author, really. One thing is sure though, each time they release new informations in the show, some fanfics will see their universe drift further away from it. |
