^My theory is that those ponies were okay when they thawed because of the magic-heart-fire-thingy. Windigos, I believe, magically inspire the emotions they consume and kill their prey at the height of their hate and anger, then either seal the souls of their victims as an eternal food source or turn them into another one of them. Pinkie and her cupcakes were made to happen because fear and pain became their new favorite food. |
