• Elena as Dee Jay doesn't make sense because he's a kickboxer and one of his special moves is a 'machine gun punch'. Scratch doesn't really have fists, so the only thing that ties them together is a love of music (and the 'D(ee) J(ay) P0N-3' thing). • Zecora as Elena doesn't work because... well, Zecora's more of a shaman than a fighter. I can imagine her being more like Rose in fighting style than Elena (also, matching the token black females in both series with each other? Yeah, real original). • Scratch as Elena works because Elena's style of capoeira really fits with her love of composing and remixing music. Plus, capoeira takes a lot of energy to be an effective fighting style, and Scratch's color scheme just screams 'energetic young mare'. |
