Actually, Fluttershy's parents probably ARE dead, or at the very least complete, apathetic deadbeats. According to current canon, apparently nopony looked for her after she fell from the sky, so she clearly just lived in the forest for the rest of her childhood. There's no evidence to the contrary, and stranger things have happened. |
