"But how did the Hydra grow so big?" said Twilight, "And it has wings!"
"Ah bet it was some kind of magic hocus-pocus." said Applejack, frowning, and dodging another boulder sent flying by the beast. "That or some weird science thingamajig." "I don't know who would want to create such a thing!" said Twilight, still crouched behind a rock as the beast bellowed yet again. "What if it was an accident?" "Less talk, more running!" Yelled Rainbow Dash. "You girls go- try to get around the rock face. I'll try to distract it!" "Are you KIDDING?" said Twilight, "It'll roast you before you get even-" "I'm too fast for this thing!" bragged Rainbow Dash. "Now Go!" Applejack and Twilight took off from behind the large rock and made a dash for the cliff face. The oversized Hydra Bellowed, all four of it's heads turning, but a well timed kick to the side of one of it's heads from Rainbow Dash turned it's attention to her, allowing the other two Ponies to escape around the side of the cliff, already on their way to Ponyville. "Take that, you stupid lug!" yelled Dash, swooping in and kicking the side of one of it's heads. She yelped as another one came up and tried to bite her, but she zoomed away out of reach before it could. "Ha ha! I'm too high for you now!" The creature roared as it tried to reach up and bite her, but she was flying too high. With a growl, the hydra flapped it's wings, and Dash swore as she rushed to avoid the now-airborne monster. Dash swerved as the flying menace shot something that looked lick a crackling electric current towards her, trying to put a LOT of distance between the Hydra and it's ranged weapon. She was quick, nimble, and whatever the monster had in power she made up for with maueverability, easily dodging it's attacks. "This should put you a ways from Ponyville!" shouted Rainbow Dash, as she sped forward. The ground was zipping by below them quickly, she could see mountain ranges slipping past, rivers, and lakes. I need to shake this thing, thought Dash. How do I get rid of it, though? The answer came in the sound of a great bellowing roar, and a shot of blue energy erupted from the now bubbling water of the lake below them. Dash yelped, and flew higher, narrowly dodging the searing hot blast of energy, and it slammed intot he Hydra pursuing her. Hurt, the hydra landed, cackling and looking for what had struck it. Though glad that it was no longer focused on her, Dash wondered what it was that had fired that blast. Suddenly, a great darkish gray figure emerged from the lake. It was gigantic, having a dinosaur-like face and a back covered with great jagged dorsal plates, and a bellowing roar that could shake anypony who heard it to the very core of their being. It stepped up onto the land, bellowing again at the intruder, the Hydra. "What the hell is that thing?!" shouted Rainbow Dash, to herself. With a loud cackling sound the Hydra tried attacking the other, upright monster, but the dark Monster grabbed onto him, and they both fell back into the lake as it erupted with bubbles and the occasional blast of blue or yellow light. The monsters were still fighting beneath the water. "I gotta get back and tell the others...." said Rainbow Dash. "This isn't good, this isn't good at all." |

Then King Ghidorah showed up, turned the Hydra-lookalike into soup and fought Godzilla. |

Hydra: I am all powerful weakling. Godzilla: (punches the hydra in the mouth, slams it down with his tail and blasts its left wing with his fire.) Who's weak now? |
