They do make SWEET pickles. The imported ones that you buy in the 99 cents store have very little salt, acid, and quite a bit of sugar. They actually SPOIL if you don't eat them all within a week. Refirgeration does little to stop spoilage. Basically cucumbers cured in boiling salt-flavored water. |
