it is a LITTLE bit odd to me that people freak the hell out if an OC has even the tiniest hint of being "particularly unique" but I've never seen anybody go crazy over this big enormous made-of-jelly-or-something has-giant-veiny-wing-things-connecting-at-6-points whatever-it-is.
not that it's a bad thing for people to not be whiny dickbags, im just saying it is odd that of all things to NOT freak out about they'd pick one of the weirdest ones. |

I think most people freak out more over OCs that aren't unique, such as [insert brooding angsty alicorn here].
Frankly, I quite like Cteno. |

The difference, one so subtle even I'm not sure where the line is drawn, is between unique OCs and Mary Sues. Cteno could easily have become an overpowered Sue, and yet...somehow, isn't. And I have no idea why. |

I say it's cause slugbox draws her. If someone unpopular drew her, i bet you 5000$ bucks that people would call her a mary sue. I like her, but still. |
