It's not the "little girls" thing. It's the idea of them being these hyper-girly, Stepford-wife girl-things.

I love how G4 is almost exact opposite of that. Nobody denies that in fact they ARE horses (and they DO eat carrots and even hay) and they are not just little girls (there are both boys and girls of all ages from infancy to elderhood), and they DO have to work because their world actually does have its own economy and nothing magically producest itself, and of course even though they are all about friendship that doesn't mean they're free from such things as prejudice or hatred (like towards Zecora at first) Boy, I didn't realize how intentionally lame G3 was until I read their own series bible... |
