It's just a cartoon, their anatomy makes no sense whatsoever.
No need for theory. |
| RepentantAnon #796817 7 months ago |
i say their horse shoes go by cartoon logic and they can slide them onto their hooves like real shoes :D |
| Gittonsxv #796819 7 months ago |
this made me cringe....oh i god i feel sick >_< |

Ponies have tiny invisible hands. |
| Anonymous #796822 7 months ago |
I always thought their hooves were somewhat like Silly Putty; solid when you put force on it, gel-like at all other times. |
| Anonymous #796824 7 months ago |
How does the powerpuff girls grab stuff without fingers? |
| Anonymous #796840 7 months ago |
Ponies are actually pony-shaped amorphous blobs. Their jelly limbs blorp around whatever nick nack the pony in question wants to hold and stick fast, allowing for easy manipulation. |

I think that if they wore horseshoes, they would have appeared at some point by now (except at Fall Weather Friends). |
| Anonymous #796855 7 months ago |
My headcanon has very tiny hoof telepathy fields for non-unicorns.
And they do have horseshoes if (Can't remember which episode.) Applejack's comment about them not having time to "match their bows with their horseshoes." is to be taken as more than a phrase. |

@Gittonsxv
Why? A hoof is pretty much nothing more than a giant toe nail. It's not that disturbing at all. |
| WatermelonRat #796864 7 months ago |
Here's a much simpler explanation: Ponies are part gecko. |
| NightJack #796865 7 months ago |
It's a cartoon, don't think so much about it, it will save your sanity. |

It's a cartoon |

arne, i have a small fear with holes in the body that and the ponys in the show does not seem to have "hooves", more nubs....that image is bleh >_< |

I think most of us know that MLP is a cartoon. Thanks Commander(s) Obvious(s?). Still fun to talk about it. |
| Aggressively-Pastel #796899 7 months ago |
@PVRyohei
Pinkie wears audibly clangy horseshoes on special occasions like playing Chancellor Puddinghead or preparing for Gummy's afterbirth day at the very least. AJ doesn't seem to. Paved roads in town I guess, and all that bouncing probably puts a lot of stress on an unshod hoof. @OP Or you know, she's just holding them against the fireplace and using leverage. |
| PonyPon #796911 7 months ago |
Maybe they keep horseshoes on the whole time, while some like big mac goes without
It explains the digfferent color in fall weather friends |
| PonyPon #796917 7 months ago |
Sorry, left out that shoes they wear are same color as pony |
| somebrony #797047 7 months ago |
A theory: ponies are made of candy. In order to hold objects, they lick their hooves until they're sticky enough to pick things up. |
| Anonymous #797539 7 months ago |
Magnets |
| Anonymous #797620 7 months ago |
The fetlock is basically a knuckle. Perhaps it can flex just enough for the back of the hoof to hold small objects. |
| Anonymous #797628 7 months ago |
Alternate explanation: Applejack is Wolverine. |
| Dionysus #798074 7 months ago |
I just assume all ponys have a really low-level telekinetic field around their front-hooves to manipulate objects in a limited way (like holding them) |
| Anonymous #798334 7 months ago |
Alternate explanation: They have hairs on their hooves (like Spiderman). |

Also, Aggressively-Pastel, your typo of after-birthday made me lol XDD |
| Anonymous #799850 7 months ago |
oh god, the spelling...the spelling.
Why don't people bother spell-checking something they're putting on the internet for thousands to see for years to come? I'd be embarassed. |
