@Anon1: Most likely, each separate Tumblr Universe is like a semi-permeable soap-bubble floating on the surface of the water. Occasionally, these bubbles collide with eachother, causing ripples and an exchange of materials. In these collisions they can even combine, which is the cause of long-term crossovers. Eventually, the two can separate, given a sudden shock. |
