But whose coat of arms? Modern-day Equestria's flag is the two royal sisters, and I don't think this would be suitable for the newly-formed Equestria we saw in Hearth's Warming Eve - the unicorns are represented twice (by the unicorn and by the sun/moon pattern).
They could possibly get away with screwing over the earth pony peasants on the flag, but I don't think the pegasi would let the unicorns be represented twice, when the pegasi are only represented once. |

Alicorns aren't unicorns. There's one field for earth ponies, one field for pegasi, one field for unicorns and one field for alicorns. |
