Fully loaded, the page consumed 1.6GB of RAM on my computer as well as completely occupying one of my processing cores. When I attempted to right-click and save one of the .gifs it froze Firefox and I had to three-finger salute it. |

If this were happening on every image I could see some merit to your argument however. This is is the 2nd event among 100k pictures which makes them isolated events. And it's not like people are abusing it to no end. |

I'm not really sure there's an appropriate number of times to piss yourself in public. It's probably zero though.
There's also the porn and gore in safe images, spider spam (seriously, some people are really fucking arachnophobic), massive-res reactions...it's basically used in lieu of actually commenting, and now twice it's been used to make images inaccessible to some users. There isn't really a good argument for it other than "it's easier to be funny with memes". |

I admit, some people need to learn what not to put with some images in comment, but to condemn even the people that do use images the are small an appropriate for use in the comment of an image is like saying all anons shouldn't be able to post or comment at all for the acts of some. |

Once again those were isolated incidents by someone attempting to "troll" the site by posting explicit images on safe images. I wasn't keen on that either but until people start to abuse the tags in an egregious fashion you won't see a change.
As for the spider images from what I've seen those were only posted in images containing spiders. If people are arachnophobic the should make use of their own volition and avoid those pictures. But Like I said I haven't seen any spider posts in any pictures. |

Really this sounds more like an argument for paginated comments and "max images per post" than anything.
Those are things I can do! (Also, YCTFB: we've recently expanded the size of the modteam, so if you see "safe"-rated images with things that aren't actually "safe", report 'em! We can't fix what we don't know about, ne?) |

It's difficult to have fun with a page that takes several minutes to load. I'm not switching to the gaming machine so I can Ponibooru, even if this means being forced out of the milestone event because...everybody has some dance .gifs. Cool. I've got some too. It just...it has nothing to do with anything going on except "I can do that too". It's proof you've saved some unrelated images. I simply find it frustratingly stupid. Nobody is allowed to say a few words to the staff about keeping this thing going for so long, or to the users themselves; it just gets lost in the no-content driftwood of the internet. It's a remarkable thing, fandom and 'booru and number of images posted, and it's just...lost in primate screeching. The best thing we could think to do is laugh and clap our hands because tge pictures are moving.
I think we could be better, is all. But can we make max images per post one, then? If you can't say it in one image, write some words. It says "Comments", not "reaction macros people found appropriate to this image". |

with 64bit OS, 8 gigs of ram, quad core cpu, and cable internet, I had absolutely no problems with that image. it did load about 3.5 gigs into my ram however. I pity any one with a letter computer. |

Well, if you got a high end PC, loads fine. Kills any netbook I've tested. Murder on anyone who's using prepaid METERED Internet. The bandwidth usage will go FAR beyond the limits as there are some with 100 MB, 500 MB and 1 GB allowances.
So this thing is now an Internet PC test, eh? |
