And if you are re-vectoring, re-drawing, re-whatever, why not leave it on the tags? It won't be long before someone accuses you of stealing his work. |

I'm not sure what you want to me to do. I put his sig back in it (albeit not in the same place) after I took it out to color it. I tagged the image as being his and sourced back to his tumblr when I uploaded it.
What more am I supposed to do? |

Don't take it too seriously. I doubt the artist would really mind considering you even tagged him, and be more happy that someone liked his sketch well enough to actually finish up the picture like this. It might be more polite to leave it in which you did/edited it in but nobody should make a big deal out of it.
Anyway, I like it, really good picture. If I had to point out something, there seems to be an overly sharp bulge coming out of Gilda's right foot in case you're a perfectionist |

You're well leaving the Signature because, hey it IS his work after all. You're doing the right thing by leaving his signature.
