I like how fluttershy is courage...
Reminds me of that saying: True courage is not never being afraid of something, but doing what has to be done even when you're scared. |

I'd rotate them one space clockwise. Fluttershy can be quite wise, Twilight's magic is very powerful, and Applejack is pretty courageous. |

I was thinking it applied more to the pony races in general. This is how I'm looking at it:
Earth ponies: More physically hardy than other races. Best at producing food, necessary for maintaining one's strength. Thus, power. Pegasus ponies: On the whole, daring almost to a fault (you kinda have to be when your default trait is the ability to fly at heights from which a fall would be fatal). Thus, courage. Unicorn ponies: Capable of active, deliberate, academically-studied magic. And they tend to be relatively enthusiastic about studying that magic. Thus, wisdom. |
