Shouldn't he be his ancestor? |

@Rock Don't you mean YOUR ancestor? |

@Dumb_Rock, They only showed us the actors/actresses playing the characters, not what the characters actually looked like. Therefore, this is Tom's son acting. |

It looks more like Rocky's head |

Who knows? If that rock from back then lasted into the modern day, it could be young Tom himself. |

I'll repeat myself... THEY SHOWED ACTORS AND ACTRESSES, NOT THE HISTORICAL FIGURES THEMSELVES. THEREFORE, THIS IS TOM'S SON BEING AN ACTOR. :| |

Timmy, Rocky and Tom belong to a family secretly haunting the ponies for aeons. They aren't very succeessful at making ponies notice, but there are small successes here and there.
Rocks are born in vulcanic fire and only get smaller from there, so it's unikely for Timmy to be the ancestor unless he got melted down and became a part of Tom. |

It's Tom as a child.
He ages slowly....as slowly as he damn well wants to. |

You forget how long it takes to make a rock naturally; for all we know, the son of Tom WAS the rock argued over by the proto-Equestrians...
Tom's family has a rich influence in Equestrian history. Who knows? Rarity's geode might have been Tom's cousin. |
