I think the eyes could've used more shading. Also, this is the very first time i have ever drawn bits.

pretty nice job on the shading. I think your white-spots/highlights are a little off though. The original shading is for a light source way off to the left. The highlighting on the upper right leg seems to be from directly behind.
And yes. To get better you have to keep doing it. I've sketched about 500 ponies so far and I still don't always think my proportions are right ^.^ You should totally check out the mlp-atg-alumni group on dA/irc. While not as big into critiques as we once were (6 months'll do that too you), it is a bunch of pony artists trying to get better (hint: irc is where it's at) |
