I used to suck at drawing too... So I stopped.
Grab a dictionary and write - it's a lot better. |

Draw outlines instead of full pictures. Or practice - practice makes perfect.
I draw like a 5 year old myself, but I continue on practicing. Maybe in 10 years I'll be decent. |

You don't. It takes time. Keep practicing. |

Oh, and buy a tablet if you want. It makes stuff easier - no eraser marks, broken pencils, ruining the environment.. |

Ponies have a bean-shaped body, done by connecting two adjacent circles, one larger than the other (a bit like this oO). To do the head, just add a larger circle above the smaller of the first two. The rear legs are done by making two ellipses connected diagonally top to bottom, then squaring them off at the base and joints. The rump from the larger of you first two circles connects to the legs directly. Front legs are just tapering triangles that don't quite meet at the top.
Facial features are quite easy; draw a curved cross down the middle of the face across the full length. The eyes are just more ellipses (don't forget the eye highlights!) that sit either side of the vertical middle line and 3/4 of the way up on the horizontal line. Manes and tails are too difficult to explain here. I'm afraid you're going to have to look it up on a drawing guide. |

Never give up, Practice makes perfect and try drawing with a reference of some sort. |
