But really, like all artwork from the mind, start with basic shapes and complicate them as you go along. Practice makes perfect. Try to replicate other's artworks (show or fanmade) if you are unsure of pony anatomy. Practice makes perfect. Look for as many pony specific tutorials as you can find. And most importantly, practice makes perfect. |

Practice. Draw lots of ponies.
Print out a picture of a pony from the show and trace three circles over it - one for the head, two for the body. Use those circles to construct the same pony yourself. |

I should have known this was a mistake. I got some helpful tips around the site and thought to ask the community as a whole, and here's the result: about three actual tips, a shitload of sarcasm, and a dude who thinks that a cholo hat is the same as a cadet-style hat (i.e CURVED). |

Also don't even bother looking about the score system. You could draw a stick figure with a funny joke on it and get a 2, or you could spend 8 hours on a human figure that only looks slightly off and get -8. |
