I get the feeling that the Seaponies are the ones who dismantled the bridge. That way, when ponies fell off of it, they could sing to them. |

Nah. It was just old, and the wood and ropes probably weren't treated for constant exposure to the damp. |

Probably pegasi just fly over and unicorns teleport through the ravine. 2/3 of the population did not need the bridge so it wasn't maintained. |

G1 ponies had it a lot harder. G4 ones can just act like humans and cartoons and stand on two legs or bounce in such a situation, but G1 ones had equine bodies, so if someone wasn't made for four-leggers they really were stuck. |
