| DaisyHead #778274 7 months ago |
@PonyRig thats the point of scientology. |
| PonyPuffy #778319 7 months ago |
Well I laughed, though Twilight sounds more like a radical christian fundamentalist than a scientologist |
| NightJack #778331 7 months ago |
^ No a radical christian fundamentalist wouldn't switch medicine for giving up all the money they have Just to get healthy. |
| NightJack #778333 7 months ago |
^ In an audit I mean. |
| Makaan #778356 7 months ago |
Chanology, again? Please dear lord, no! |

SO I PULL OUT MY GUN! |
| Hex-Master #778457 7 months ago |
Everybody check the link and Gavalanche's blurb. It seems we've inspired him once again. |
| Sevireth #778939 7 months ago |
This is hilarious |
| Anonymous #778950 7 months ago |
@NightJack
Erm... That's not what they actually advise people do. They suggest people with identifiable physical problems get them handled by ordinary physical methods. Auditing isn't about making people healthy or healing them. Auditing is usually just having someone review a painful memory until it no longer bothers them or has a negative effect on their minds, as they believe such memories can have a significant negative influence on a person unless they've fully reviewed and understood it in all of its details. It is their opinion that this may potentially help with Psychosomatic illnesses tied to those painful memories but they don't actually focus on that either. Their other beliefs mostly just centers around their belief that a person is truly an immortal spirit, though they do not refer to it as such. And by immortal they mean something timeless enough to have effectively existed before the universe, the rest is merely just largely irrelevant explaining of how things came to be as they are now and hardly the parts considered of greatest importance. |

For the TL:DR crowd, it's a response image to that "pillz" debate that happened the other day under the latest stalkerloo comic. Why can't I use the pill name? Why is it filtered? I can swear all I want. |
| Xuncu #779145 7 months ago |
^Because that pill is often the subject of spambots, since alot of druggies like to take it illegally to get high, so it's blocked so we don;t have to deal with the bots.
@Puffy and Nightjack Well, compare Thetans and "Origonal Sin" Origional Sin, Shortish version: Adam and Eve eat the fruit of the Knowledge Tree, like five minutes after God threatens them with immediate death for doing so. They don't die, so God expelles them from Eden (in fact, he's more worried we'll eat the Life Fruit next: we'd essentially become gods if we did-- he actually states this (apparently to other gods that're hanging around watching this); some portion of the various Catholic/Christian sects suscribe to it to still count, and a smaller portion of that say that even with Baptism, you still have enough origional sin (as will anybody else born ever) to count to earn damnation to hell (of those that do, they also tend to belive that Salvation is essentially arbitrary; that Hitler could be in Heaven if God feels like it). Anywho, from the outside of both: "A long time ago, something bad happened. There's no evidence for it, but we're sure because we have faith in the book we wrote after the fact to sell this faith, and we wrote it in the first place because we feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel it's true. Because that happened, everybody is suffering. Hey, guess what? WE have the maaaaaaagic cure! We know because a long time ago, the most important person who will ever exist told us about this, and we have so much faith, we're not gonna question his obvious importance, because we feel so much better after listening to him. Sure, there's no empirical way to tell who is cured and isn't, but that's just the opinion of people who're still sick in the head because of it; OUR way also happens to be able to sense who is cured and who isn't; just listen to us." |
| Xuncu #779151 7 months ago |
tl;dr - It's like alot of scams; they invent a problem and claim you have it, justs o they can sell you a 'cure.'
Like the "Volcano Insurance" bit on Family Guy. |
| Anonymous #779153 7 months ago |
^Fairly certain that the biggest reason people give Scientology grief is because its founder was a science fiction writer. |
| Anonymous #779209 7 months ago |
And then Gavalanche was sued off the internet. |
| Xuncu #779227 7 months ago |
^Also, people have needlessly died from "Church-approved" treatment, they have destroyed government records to cover up other illegal activity, embezzlement, abuse, apostasy[/i] and slander/libel against any defectors and whistleblowers, [url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_Game_Policy]Fair-GamePolicy, and other tactics that Creationists themselves masturbate themselves to sleep to------ but yeah, I suppose "made up by a guy who's job was to make things up" is the primary concern most people have about scientology. |
