The US is one of the most influential powers on our politicians, next only to the crown. If they pass a law, someone here is bound to consider it. Then it's HoR to Senate to PM to Gov. General, BANG, new law.
The Great Australian Firewall had a lot of backlash from us, and didn't pass, but with SOPA, somebody's going to see it as an opportunity for power, and they'll use it. |
