It's still has to go through three stages before it even becomes a law, and even with that it will take a while until it gets implemented. I saw during the end of the first quarter in 2012. |

There's only one way (other than burning D.C. to the ground and lynching the lot of them) to fight against this, and that's to stop. Stop buying DVDs and BluRays. Stop going to the movies. Stop buying music. Stop using the streaming services. Stop renting as well. Cancel your cable.
Don't give them ANY of your money. You see, they've forgotten that they need us far more than we need them. If you want to make ponies the sole exception to this, that's fine (hell, I probably will too). Otherwise, hurt them in the only place they care about -- their pocketbook. |

And even if it passes, what's to stop bronies from just uploading episodes to Dailymotion (based in France) or Youku (based in China)? Or The Pirate Bay, the world's most lawsuit-resistant website? It's bad news for the Tumblr blogs, but why not simply move to a non-US based competitor of them? It will be bad for free speech, but it will still be easy to get our ponies. |

There's no way this will pass. They have done similar attempts with this type of law in the past, and they all failed due to ridiciously restricting punishments.
This one is no exception. The punishments stated in the law are so insane that most of the public is simply not going to agree on it. I mean singing your favorite copyrighted song in a video can land you with at least five years of jail time and give you felon status. Who the Hell will agree to that? |

You are aware that the media companies are bribing the US Government right? As in, pass this law, and we'll together an pay an amount approaching $1,000,000,000,000. That's right, A TRILLION DOLLARS!!! And the media companies, together, can easily pay that. Especially after all the lawsuits they will be doing. I wonder if I will be affected? My PC has the Batman Protocol for internet use. |

SOPA will kill all sales of used books/games/DVD/software. The makers will claim that doing that is infringing their sales on their "current version." A lot of the hard work fought by some eBay sellers will be all thrown out, especially that Autodesk CAD seller a few years back. When we finally get bored of Skyrim, we'll only be able to throw our copy in the trash. Pawn shops won't even buy it as they can't sell it online.

this bill is unconstitutional and should be brought to the attention of the supreme court why is it unconstitutional 1. it violates the first amendment to freedom of expression. 2. it circumvents the sixth amendment by skipping the judicial process. 3. it circumvents the seventh amendment of allowing a trial by jury. that is three different amendments violated. could a brony who is a lawyer go and take this to court you would be the hero of the internet |
