A couple arrows in the limbs (that you were braced for) and a deep slash across the throat (splitting the jugular and trachea) aren't really comparable. |

Never played a Dragon Quest game, actually. Aquilinus is a fan-name for the pegasus guards that someone else came up with. When I saw some story potential there, I adopted it for my own purposes and used it as a jumping-off point. Aquilinus = Eagle-like Aquila = Eagle (Aqui's ancestor whom he resembles) Corvus = Crow Mergus = Seagull Pavo = Peacock Their names are indicative of their personalities, to a degree. |
