I totally believe that Pinkie has an alligator pit. ("I've got an alligator; I've gotta have a pit! It's mandatory.")
I think that it's about 8 inches deep, with fluffy cushions at the bottom just in case somebody accidentally falls in. Gummy doesn't spend any time there. He prefers to be higher up so he can pounce from above. Being sentenced to "the pit" by Pinkie means having to sit in the pit while she eats choux buns in front of you and won't give you one until you say you're really sorry for what you did wrong. Well, maybe you get one bun, but only the one. (Cupcakes has had a minimal impact on my image of Pinkie) |

I personally believe that Pinkie would LAUGH at Cupcakes. "Giggle at the ghosties!" remember? Like, the amount of fucks she would give would be roughly equal to one Gummy, and Gummy represents Absolute Zero. In fact, she'd probably make a prank out of it.
I can see it now: After a group reading of Cupcakes, Pinkie schedules a party for the next week. Midway through the week, Rainbow Dash holes up in Pinkie's attic. At the party, Pinkie serves up RD-themed cupcakes, and after a particularly awkward silence, Rainbow Dash comes screaming down the stairs, dressed up as a convincing zombie and scaring the fuck out of her friends. Brilliant! |

^ There were 6 or 7 unofficial 'sequels' to Cupcakes on EqD when I read it. All were rebuttals. None of them were bad. It was interesting to see how different people 'undid' Cupcakes. I liked the universe-hopping one best. |

That's okay, i won't tell everyone you don't watch the show. In the show, she finds squirting fluttershy with water or making someone think there's a snake amongst the produce to be too mean. That prank far outshines those little things in the meanness scale. |

To be fair, Scoots, her reactions are a lot more about it being Fluttershy and Granny Smith than they are about the pranks.
I don't disagree with your overall point, but that across as being more about targets than the content of the prank. |
