They use unfertilized eggs to make cakes. Since the eggs are not fertilized it might be where they get protein. Fluttershy raises chickens for a reason. |

I don't see why would anypony be against that. There are sentient carnivorous species in Equestria (griffons for example), and actually intelligent animals (at least for me) seem to be rare cases (ever notice how an avarage bunny is WAY dumber than Angel, for example?). Hell Fluttershy herself was seen FEEDING some pets with meat. Just because ponies are vegetarian doesn't mean they have to find eating meat wrong. Their organisms just aren't built for that. |

sandwiches keep showing up, fried foods, cake crusts, and potato chips are traditionally made with lard, gelatin is made from bone powder, they have hot dog eating contests, and the ponies have been shown to be assholes to highly intelligent 'lesser' animals ie sheep and cows
