Someone paid 62 euros for this. SOMEONE PAID 62 EUROS FOR THIS. Something that could've been made with vector traces and photoshop.
Hot Damn, maybe i need to step up my drawings and do commissions instead of my askblog. |

Photoshop is for losers. This guy is using the same program they use for the show. Try to request something like this to the 'real' animators. They will make you pay 1000$ if not more. (IF and only IF they accept your request. And we know that's impossible) |

In the world of requesting art, what matters are the results and quality, not the process. This same piece could've been done with a few vector traces and photoshop, as i said before, and nobody would've known the difference. Which is my point: someone paid for this. A very high price, i might add. Twenty, thirty bucks for this same picture? yeah, i guess. 82 dollars? Whoah, somebody has disposable income. |

Yes, but, why pay for the real thing that belongs in a museum if you just want it on a frame to look good in your house? I could commission my neighbor (who's a great artist) for a few hundred dollars to make me a painting that looks just as good. Heck, people have already comissioned her to do such copies of famous paintings before and they look darned good. Also, we are talking about vectors done by an artist known within the fandom of one show here. Not some masterpiece painting by a very well known artist. Even it it is high quality, there are great vector artists and photoshop enthusiasts who would do this same piece in equal quality for FREE or MUCH LESS. I'm not judging the person for wanting to blow their money on this and help the artist, i'm just saying he could've gotten the same thing for a lot cheaper. |
