Am I the only one who did NOT like that scene? Even without bringing up biological impossibilities, Rarity is (nearly) an adult whilst Spike is a baby dragon, which
is something Rarity as an elder should understand. I don't hate Spike, but with all the shit about wanting to bone Rarity, it is really hard to like him. Yes, I mad. The developers made a really bad decision with this and I'm hoping to see some less creepy conclusions in the future concerning this... "relationship". |

^^ Spike only "grows" by hoarding junk. Unfortunately, in hoarding said junk, he also becomes a dick; hence, his being Twilight's assistant maintains his perpetual youth, meaning he only ages mentally and emotionally.
Its been argued elsewhere that he's only a few years younger than Twilight, and if the egg she hatched is/was Spike, it's not incorrect. I think Rarity would be willing to wait, all things considered. |

I'm willing to guess that Spike's ability to grow will be used again on future episode as a Deux Ex Machina to save somebody, except that Spike will "master" it to keep full control of his actions and stuff. |

If they turn rarity and spike into a couple I will be severley dissapointed in th series. not only is rarity mature and spike still an infant, but we have never seen any indication that he cares about her for anything other than her appearance. |

Spike's only "relatively" a baby dragon.
His true form is a giant Godzilla-like monster and the only reason why he maintains his small form is because he was raised by Twi instead of growing up as a feral dragon. Naturally, he should be hoarding and large already. Besides, if he is so young, why doesn't he go to school like the CmC? Instead, he works as an assistant in the library. If you wanna see questionable ages, look at RD and Pinkie Pie. They seem pretty child-like to me compared to the other ponies. |

Spike pretty much lived at a school with Twilight.
Also, he's not a pony, so he's probably not going even need the same education as them. His role in life is probably nothing more than an assistant. Anyways, I highly doubt this is meant to be a couple. It seems like Rarity knew, but she wanted to prevent an awkward talk from happening after they survived. That way, we know she knows, and Spike can still keep his secret without facing rejection and still enjoying being in love. |

Hypothetically, the reason he turned big and DUMB was because he hoarded too much at too early an age. Feral dragons probably have to balance the size of their hoard with their age--- which considering they EAT their hoard, probably isn't a problem. |

I thought Spike turning into a giant monster was like Gohan turning into a giant ape thing when he sees a moon.
Its not that he "grew up" but more like transformed. Which would also explained why he reverted back to normal. |

Actually, the confession scene made me like Rarity even less. "Hm, I always knew that Spike has had a cruch on me. I'll just pretend I'm oblivious and let him to my dirty work as taking out the trash and being my pincushion, when he finally confesses for real, I'll just tell him I don't feel the same way!" The like on that pony went from mek during S1, > love at Best night ever and down to wanna slap senseless in the two latest episodes. |

If Spike Rarity becomes official, I swear I will leave the whole "brony" thing for good. And as of now, sh does not love him at ll, she just knows about it. So because she knows, what the hell is she supposed t do? Completely reject him? No, he's stil a friend. We've seen Rarity in love, and I'm honestly getting sick of people saying she loves Spike. It's not true.
So, before someone sayssomething like "UMAD BRO LOL" I will say this: Yes, I am angry with all that shipping. I loathe it. He's a baby. It's a childhood crush. And to prove I'm not just defending Rarity, I will say this: Spike has NEVER said he loves Rarity. EVER. He's only been saying he's had a cuh on her. Even in that scene, he said "I've always sort of had a cru-". Now, Rarity may know, but that doesn't mean she love him either. Like I said, what is her other option? Hurt his feelings by completely rejecting him. The amount of people who claim Spike x Rarity or as they call it "Sparity" is canon, annoy and piss the HELL out of me. In fact, they are the people who make me want to abandon being a brony for good. And if it happens again, or does become canon, I'm done. And I ont really care what anyone has to say about that. And I know people will say "You're just one person," and you know what, I am. But that's how much I hate the spike x Rarity shipping, and I really wished sometimes I knew more Rarity fans like myself who would say the same thing. I just wanted to say that ad get that of my mind. Rant about something for a bit. Sorry. |
