Well, we've been fighting this battle since the day Ponychan was raided off the internet - I figured anything 4chan mods hate that much must be good - so tell me, oh valiant bulwark against the furry hordes...
How goes the battle? I have some issues with certain overarching themes that made their way into the fandom at large by throwing out Ponibooru's old rules, but unless Eco puts us back to PG-13 that jug is long since broken and the milk spilled. But on general principles? Fuck that, Kloudmutt is win. |

I've always felt neutral to "furries", I can easily jack off to an anthro, but it doesn't arouse me more than a human, but I'm really disappointed in bronies reaction to it, not because it's a show about ponies, but because of our "love and tolerance" motto, we should just ignore this, or maybe post some comments of "I hate this", but violently try to threaten "furries", especially while anon, is just weak and dull, I won't say dumb because that word has lost it's strength completely and atleast 30% of the flamers are trolls anyways. |

Thanks for understanding. I think this has a lot to do with the "Monkeysphere" concept. If a person is furry, then everybody thinks he is a zoophile and a pervert. If a person is a brony, then everybody thinks he is a gay and a manchild (hey there, Junkie121!). It's always easy to generalize people into groups, but in real life, that just does not work that way. |

I've never understood the friction between bronies and furries. I never really knew about the amount of hate that bronies had until there was a alink posted to FurAffinity on Equestria Daily. After reading the comments and outrage because of one simple link it just hurt to see that the fandom wasn't following it's famous motto of "I'm going to love and tolerate you.". I thought that saying applied to everyone no matter what they liked to do and that it was a universal saying. I know that this comment doesn't apply to everyone but as a fandom I just wish that we accept everyone and to love them even if we don't fully agree with what they do in their spare time. |

When I say furry, you think of a guys in fursuits humping each other. An incorrect generalization perhaps (I hope) but ultimately the image associated with furries. When I say brony, you think of a bored 20 something with firm connections to the 4chan and meme culture, which is much less reviled on the internet. Ultimately, for most people the association of "brony" with sexual deviancy is not nearly as strong. |
