Scoots: Really? When a guy is dissemboweled by a magma fist, more then 400 episodes in, THATS when u stop taking the show seriously? Not when it was revealed the protagonist was made of rubber? Not when Pell survived the bomb? Not when an army of transvestites broke out of Impel Down? I dont know what to say. (btw i love One Piece and this was a sad moment) |

^I guess i kinda agree that it was poorly handed in the anime but in the manga it was brilliant. Then again that might just be my bias opinion. Though id suggest any fan of the anime to check out the manga if u have problems with fillers or pacing or otherwise. |

Scoots, everything about One Piece is still amazing even if the Marinford arc could have been done better.
And I strongly feel that this particular moment was just as emotionally powerful as any other emotionally powerful moment in One Piece, even if the arc before it and the flashbacks after weren't the best actual parts of the show/manga. And how COULD you stop watching just before the couldn't-possibly-have-been-more-amazing timeskip? You're just trolling yourself if you do that. |
