^ The mane is show-accurate; I'm sure the personality will largely be invented by whoever's running the ask tumblr, but by your definition pretty much all background ponies are OCs. (Which is actually my opinion too, I just don't have much of anything against OCs.) |

Being a fan of the show would be pretty limited if you weren't allowed to make stuff up your self.
I personally think the best part of being a fan is just seeing all of the stuff people have wrote (ie:fanfictions) and have drawn (all the stuff thats on here). Even Ms. Faust seems to be encouraging people to make their own art, so why not make all of the fan art and OC's to your hearts content? And be adult enough to recognize the difference between official content and someones fanmade content? When ever I read a pony tumblr I know its a fan roleplaying and just have fun with it! Sometimes I just can not understand why people in this fandom get so butt-hurt over things... |

I agree with Ping_chan. OCs are awesome, and hating on them is childish.
However, I rolled my eyes when they did that First Anniversary group picture, and had a "no OCs" rule, yet accepted Misty and other technically-not-OC characters in it. |
