What i find odd is why would spike have to return that pimpin hat? i mean she clearly gave it to him as a gift and he wasn't demanding it like the other things. |

It doesn't really look like a "pimp hat" to me. Same type of hat, but not close enough to the stereotype for me to consider as such.
But I do question why Cheerilee had such a hat on her person when she was so willing to give it to Spike. I mean, was it her hat? A hat she just bought? Was she just so much into TF2 she thought nothing of giving hats? |

Ponyville has a Fruit and Hat Store. This hat is actually the Pimp Hat of Greed that the store owner knew about and so "gave" it to Cheerilee for buying so much fruit.
