Well of course. |

Basically, yeah. |

Don't get me wrong. I love Spike, but I kinda remember not liking "Owl's Well That Ends Well" that much (Maybe I should watch it again.) But even if it was a good Spike episode, it's nothing compared to "Secret of My Excess". |

I loved this episode, glad Spike got a good one after Owls Well sucked so hard. |

Shin32, yes, I agree with you. |

I love ALL the episodes! |

This is actually one of my favorite episodes this season. A thousand times better than Owl's Well that Ends Well. |

Actually, both "Owls Well that Ends Well" and "Secret of My Excess" have similar basic plot lines--Spike is a child, and has all the insecurities you expect a child to have:
- In OWTEW, it was jealousy and fear of abandonment. - In TSOME it was greed and the angst of going through puberty. In both cases Spike has to overcome his childish fears and selfishness and learn emotional maturity. |

Owls well was good enough. But a good episode in a stellar show, is only seen as bad. |

I think this episode is great! And an episode about Spike didn't make me think any less of it. |

Actually change the second shot to the heartwaring Spike x Rarity scene and that's pretty much my reaction to this episode. |
